Set up email on phone or computer with our easy step-by-step guide.
Follow the instructions below to set up email on iPhone, Android device or on your computer using either Mac Mail or Outlook.
This tutorial covers the following topics:
Set up email on iPhone
- Name: i.e. John Smith
- Email: i.e. user@yourdomain.com
- Password: the password you’ve set for your email account
- Description: a short description of your email account

When ready, tap Next and you will have to fill in the details of the Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name: yourdomain.com
- User Name: user@yourdomain.com
- Password: the password you’ve set for your email account

Complete the same steps for the Outgoing Mail Server and wait for the Mail app to verify your information. Then, tap Save and your email will be added to your email account list.

Setup email on an Android phone
To set up your email on an Android phone, open the Settings app and search for the Add Account section. Provide the email address (user@yourdomain.com) and press MANUAL SETUP.
Next, you will be able to choose the type of email account you will be using. We recommend the IMAP protocol because it will keep your messages on the server after you download them on a local device.
You will need to fill in your password and tap Next. Enter the incoming server settings:

- Username: user@yourdomain.com
- Password: the password for your email account
- Server: yourdomain.com
When you complete filling in the information, tap Next and continue with the outgoing server settings.

- Username: user@yourdomain.com
- Password: the password for your email account
- Server: yourdomain.com
Tap Next and choose the preferred sync frequency options. Lastly, press Next and your email account will be ready to use with your Android phone.
Setup email on a computer in Microsoft Outlook
To set up your email account with Microsoft Outlook, go to the File drop-down menu > Account Settings > Other Email. If you’re using Mac, go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts. You will be forwarded to fill in your account information:
- Email address: enter your email (user@yourdomain.com)
- Password: add the password for your email account
- Username: your full email address
- Connection Type: set to IMAP
- Incoming server: add your domain name if it is pointed to your website. Alternatively, you can use the server hostname.
- Outgoing server: add your domain name if it is pointed to your website. Alternatively, you can use the server hostname.
- Use SSL to connect: We recommend you also check this option for an additional layer of security
When you are ready completing the requested info, click Add Account and the configuration will be completed.
Setup email on a computer in Mac Mail
To configure your Branded Digital email account to work on the Mail app on your Mac, open the Mail app and from the pop-up, choose Other Mail Account > Continue.

Enter your name, email address (user@yourdomain.com), the password for the email account, and click Sign In.
On the next screen, fill in the server settings:
- Email Address: it should be pre-filled with the email you’ve entered in the previous window
- Username: enter your full email address as username
- Password: the password for your email account
- Account Type: set to IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server: add your domain name if it is pointed to your website. Alternatively, you can use the server hostname.
- Outgoing Mail Server: add your domain name if it is pointed to your website. Alternatively, you can use the server hostname.
Click Sign In once you complete filling in the information. On the next step, you can choose the apps you want to use with this email account. Select your preferred apps, click Done and you will be able to use your new email account on Mac Mail.
